![]() ![]() With all the good things said there are a couple of things that I didn’t like. This is the best feature of the new mounts, well that and you can adjust the height of the body. The plastic is pretty flexible but once everything is mounted they gain some rigidity but still allow the post to flex in a crash. They held their shape (unlike the stock ones that eventually twist at odd angles – see above). Well I got to try them for the 1st time at the 2013 Pro Series race held at CRC Raceway in Rome NY and they held up great. Thread on your thumb screws and you are done! Don’t lose these, they will be a little harder to replace than a body clip (I bought extras just in case). No more body clips! The body secures using the included thumb screws. On a regular Traxxas Slash 4×4, the long mounts would go in the rear and be able to reach the height you’d need to run a rally car body (higher roof).ĭo the same for the rear but just use the shorter posts. Set the desired height you want the body, secure with screw, and you are done with the front! I used the long ones up front because with my particular suspension setup (not shown in these photos) the longer mounts would hit the rear shocks. Now slide the two longer of the four body posts in the the front body mount. Make sure to leave enough thread showing for the thumb screw that secures the body on. Here we thread a long set screw into the new Proline post. Remove the rear stock body mount just like you did for the front. The new Pro-Line mounts bolt on exactly as the stock ones do. Here you start by removing the old and replacing with the new.
